David spent over 30 years traveling the East Coast for the automotive industry, missing the everyday moments that add up to a life. When Angela was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015, the family decided things had to change.

Before retiring, David and the family launched a food truck — Havana Dave's Cuban Sandwiches — serving the NC Triangle Area and discovering what David calls the "Food/Friend industry." The warmth they gave and got from customers showed them exactly where they belonged.

When the pandemic ended the food truck chapter, a new opportunity appeared: a pizzeria in the Wilton area, close to home. Adriano's Pizzeria opened its doors in October 2023.
